mp.quickRecord takes (some of) the pain out of capturing the sound of your patch. Of course, you can use quick record in the extras menu and that’s a pretty fully featured multi-channel recorder. However, this is a bpatcher or an abstraction you can drop in anywhere.

Crucial is setting a path to record to, send the message “path ” to the right inlet. You can set the path in all sorts of ways, I’m just using thispatcher in the help example. Hit record or send the message “record $1” to the right inlet and you’ll start saving to disk (if the DAC~ is on).
To avoid clicks at start and end of the file, I’m using the adsr~ object to fade in as soon as recording starts and to generate a fade out when recording is told to stop, recording stops when the fade has ended. Consider using peakamp~ (or cleverer) to setup click free auto recording.
It would be easy to modify mp.quickrecord to a different number of channels and you could use the gain features of adsr to set the gain of the recorder if you’re summing lots of channels as shown on the right of the help patch.
