Martin is a composer and sound designer working in the area of computer based performance with live instruments. He studied composition at the University of Manchester and completed a Ph.D in Composition at the University of Edinburgh in 2003. He is Academic Director of the University of Edinburgh's MSc in Sound Design and Artistic Director of Edinburgh's Dialogues Festival http://www.dialogues2006.com [1]. Recent work includes 'Landscraper', an interactive sound and visual installation for the Klangturm in St Pölten, Austria and a commission from Theatre Cryptic (http://www.cryptic.org.uk [3]) to write the score and interactive visual elements for their production of 'Trojan Women'.
